I mean the absolute best range, great staff, facility, location, etc.... Could even be out of state or country. What is the best range you have ever been to, hell even what is the worst and why?
Well, I haven't been to any here in Texas yet, but the best I've been to in GA was South River Gun Club. 10-12 pistol bays, 100-300 yd rifle range, small city for tactical training, etc. it's a pretty cool place.
Hicksville. Second place goes to a range in a GA state park. Its just a range only with nobody really on duty there...but all the shooters are generally courteous and safe.
Sent from Hicksville.....or while dreaming of Hicksville
Freedom Armory in Glen Rock, PA. Indoor, climate controlled, everything from pistol to .50cal ranges. Full service gun shop. Awesome (but expensive) place to shoot.
The Best of the West out in Liberty Hill has become my new favorite place to shoot. Millard is a friendly guy in the office and the tactical bays are great for a wide range of shooting fun. The worst place is probably reds south in Austin. Loud, smoky and full of dangerous idiots who don't know jack about gun safety. It's the only range where I have been spayed with fragmented concrete as the Lady shooting next to me put one in the ceiling.
ProActive Defense. It's a private outdoor range where you are not confined to a single lane. They have a variety of targets including steel and moving targets. You can practice your draw and shooting on the move. One major feature is membership is not expensive.
