That was my first thought, too; but the cord i a “check-cord” for belt attachment, to allow the gun to come out of the device when the entire rig is drawn from IWB or pocket.

Just one more unique item for our old “holster boxes”.

I used a kydex trigger guard like that on a Glock 43 that I pocket carried for a few months...

With the lanyard tied to a belt loop, the guard would pull off when I drew the gun from my pocket. The G43 was just a bit too large for pocket carry, and pocket carry just a bit too inaccessible.

I find that pocket-carry depends a lot on which pants. Those cheap “Uncle MIke’s” semi-sticky black pocket holsters work great for a J-frame, P3-AT, etc.

Now that you mention it..it does look somewhat wide to be a snug fit/practical for pocket carry. I tend to agree with the possibility it has lost it's shape.

I have one for my Glock 26. Great pocket holsters.
