For awhile now I thought I was the only law abiding citizen with guns around here

Nah, there's several of us around here, we're just outnumbered and overshadowed by idiotic youngins and other hooligans. Which works just fine for me. If they ignore me I can handle it, if they pay me too much attention I can handle it. I just like to go to work, spend time with my family and shoot my guns (which I do all regularly). What more can you ask for in our humble little town?
