I've been in the market for a semi-auto .308 rifle, and have decided on the AR platform, or more specifically the DPMS LR-308. I know technically it's not an AR-10, but the gun I'm looking at is used. Anything I should know and look for? Thank you.

I have bought a few used and not had any problems.

Just watch out for the normal stuff I guess, abuse or damage.

Like most firearms they probably aren't shot a lot. Parts are easy to find too so if there is an issue it shouldn't take much to resolve it.

If it's a factory gun then I agree with the previous post.

If it's a custom/self-build, particularly with regard to the Upper Receiver, then I would personally want to make sure that the builder was competent/knowledgeable, as I can think of at least a few ways off the top of my head that it could have been mangled, several of which may leave no externally-visible indicators...

Got a DPMS 24" 1:10 SS upper (only)with AGB I need to move down the road. Jut too heavy for my back anymore.
