Whats better?

I picked up some German dag 7.62x51mm in a sealed green pouch. So my question is what would be a storage method for this stuff. Should I keep it in the factory green pouch or transfer it to a .30 or .50 can with some desiccant?

Leave it in the green pouches and drop it into the .30 or .50 cal ammo can. Then nothing can tear the green plastic.
