Texas Penal code 46.01 defines an "illegal knife" as:

- a knife with a blade over five and one-half inches, folding or solid tang, doesnt matter which
- hand instrument designed to cut or stab another by being thrown
- dagger, including but not limited to a dirk, stilletto, and poniard
- bowie knife, sword, or spear.

I have more knives than I could swim with so what I carry depends upon what I am doing. Camping and riding I carry a K-Bar and a Gerber multi tool. General weapon I have a couple Benchmades and couple different Gerbers I like. I also have a few Puma's I am fond of.

I'm pretty sure a concealed fixed blade is a no-no in Texas.

Texas has no concealed weapon statute.

I carry a Spyderco Worker except in San Antonio. Knives with the safety device to lock the blade are illegal there. I carry a Benchmane Nimravus when going to SA.
