I heard that a woman got pulled over by a state trooper, and when the he got up to her she said: "I'm not buying tickets to the State Trooper's ball". The trooper said "Ma'am, State Troopers don't have Balls". ....... He just hung his head, let her go and sheepishly went back to his car.

I've only been stopped once in the last 25 years, and it was for 5~ MPH over in a school zone. Not right, but very easy to do. Officer asked if I knew how fast I was going, and I said no, but thought I was keeping up with everyone else. He said, I can't catch them all, but since you were at the end of the line I caught you. Meh. Ticket, layer, fine, nothing on the record and lesson learned.

I did get a speeding ticket in a school zone, it didn't bother me one damn bit. Getting bagged in an open Interstate pisses me off though.

I wasn't paying attention in the school zone, I knew it when I saw the flashing lights (I almost thanked him). I don't have any problem getting a speeding ticket in a school zone or going through my neighborhood, it's a much better lesson then having to live with the guilt from hitting a kid.

When i was still a Volunteer Firefighter back in high school I got pulled over for speeding and the cop asked the old question "wheres the fire" so i gave him the address that just come over my radio. He said "oh, we got a couple of smart asses here huh, step out of the car". so my buddy and i got out of the car and he noticed that we were both in our FD uniforms and the radio went off again with the same address. He told us to get back in the car and gave us an escort to the scene.

I drive a truck one time comen back out Houston I came over a ridge and the trooper was just waiting on me. Thought I was done for all I saw as I blew by him was him wagging his finger needless to say I heeded his warning.

I was pulled over for going "75 in a 60".
He asked me to get out because we were on a narrow bridge with not much shoulder. As I was walking back he said pulled me over for speeding 75 in 60.
When I politely disagreed with the accusation he asked for my DL and went and ran it. Came back and said I was free to go. No ticket no written warning. So I thanked him and left.

When I was out in SoCal, the cops out there were notorious for giving warnings without pulling drivers over-things like getting behind them and just doing a quick flash of the lights, or pulling up next to them and pointing. I always thought that was cool. Still gives you the "oh shit" moment without wasting anybodys time.

I worked in So CAL first. We warned people all the time in that manner, the PA system, or a quick stop with a verbal warning. We didn't have the revenue generation mentality like some places here have.
