I just mailed out the 2 forms, 2 fingerprint cards, and 2 passport photos to the ATF. Do I mail the CLEO copy of Form 1 right away? Even though the ATF have not approved or disapproved my application, yet?

It don't matter all they do is file them in the trash can or send them back to you saying we don't know what to do with this or you sent this to the wrong place so send it somewhere else.

I believe you are supposed to send them when you send out the forms to the ATF so if the local coppers know you are a Trouble maker they can let the BATF know.

Just send it and do it right.
It’s just an inform letter these days.
    It’s not asking for permission

I was just asking, for a friend.

But seriously, that has never bothered me or previously was never necessary for me. I haven't gotten anything new since 41F and my items are in a trust.

My 4374s come back approved so fast if my FFL isn't watching the screen as he hits enter he misses it. The BATFE knows me well and I'm not all concerned about them or CLEO. I play by the rules though I don't agree with many of them.
