    Or is that an Alfa, w the new Alfa
    It's a Lancia Scorpion. Also known as a Montecarlo in the rest of the world. That one has some series2 Montecarlo and reproduction 037 parts on it. Looks way better than the US spec Scorpion.

    Back in the 60's and 50's for that matter, NASCAR was far closer to stock car racing than today. Ford, GM and Chrysler were developing both engines and cars to win. Chrysler had its "Firedome" v-8s which were in race cars and family sedans. The SuperBird with its high wing was developed for racing then went to the street so it would be legal.
