I think it's gorgeous. It's not my style and I wouldn't want to ride it but I can appreciate it for the work of art it is.

Personally, I always wanted an R65. The boxers were easy to work on back when working on bikes was where you spent most of your time. (Well, being the son of a woman who thought all motorcycles should be either Harleys or Indians, that's the way I tended to think back then.) If I were a younger man with a good back, I think I could head off on an R65GS and not be heard from for months at a time.

    Old dreams eventually die, unfortunately.

I'm a fan of the boxer engines. IMO the one pictured earlier isn't the best execution; I've seen prettier ones. Also if you're really going for simplicity you'd do a chain drive, not shaft. The visual appeal of the shaft drive works, tho...

You got me wondering who was the first to use a shaft drive. It was Fabrique Nationale de Herstal.

It would look a little odd on that enduro, but you can put a touring seat with a backrest on anything. Know of a guy that has one on his Ural. He also swapped in a 1000cc BMW motor.... It's a nice bike for road trips; pavement or gravel.
