Where Do You Shoot?

I used to shoot at a private range with a co-worker friend who was a member and could take me as a guest. Often, we were the only ones there, which was nice. However, they lost their lease and moved somewhere else, plus I don't see that friend much since he retired. Mostly I shoot at the Bullet Hole and sometimes at A Place to Shoot. I was just wondering what else was around town. I'd be interested in range names, locations, a description of the facility, why you like it, and if applicable, a website.

it is the closest range to me, and i like it.

Maybe i dont know any different, -- ive been to one other range so far - but we didn't get to do any shooting!

For pistols and my 22 rifles, I shoot at Bass Pro ( I have the $100 a year membership).

To shoot my surplus rifles (with surplus ammo) I risk the bullethole from time to time. Its unsafe, but its close. I will be going to Bracken more in the future.

Nimrod Rifle Club; private club with a range in SE Bexar County right by Braunig Lake. I believe they have a waiting list for membership at the moment, but memberships renew on January 1 and some spots may open up. I've been five or six times since I joined and I absolutely love it.

I shoot mainly at my house, have pistol and rifle set up, but until I have my houses and machines set up I shoot shotgun sporting events at bexar and Sa gun club.

Seriously though, I see you listing your location as "Central Texas". Have you been to Lone Star in Lockhart? The great thing about Lone Star is that after you have fun shooting all day, you have a couple of minutes drive to some of the best barbeque in Texas!

i went to lonestar once, i forgot all about that actually! that is a nice range. had a super fun time with CTM last year.

pistol rifle and shotguns all in the same bay.

just with shotguns if you aren't using slugs, you need to bring your own target stands.
