Before I retired from teaching, every pin head, hair brained, ignorant scheme about teaching came with the statement "Do it for the kids" and It's for our kids." In most cases, the new and improved techniques passed mercifully into obscurity and we were again allowed to teach. I've seen this crap so many times it makes me puke!

If the friggin' Obama countermeasures won't pass the "sniff" test, then the presence of some kids as a prop won't help. Our presidential Knot Head is like the famous circus showman PT Barnum who said "There's a sucker born every minute!"

We had a resource officer when I was in high school. He was sheriff's deputy that was in fact armed. He was just permanently assigned to the school for security and traffic control.
