A real American would fly their flag and thumb their nose at the vandals.

    But that's probably a gamble that @mavs doesn't, or won't make!

I'm curious on a couple of points Mavs. Where do you live that vandals are so bad with your flags? And how many flags have you had vandalized that you feel this is an issue?

Notice he completely dodged both of the points that you and I were trying to make. That's exactly how the left deals with logical questions that easily show how silly the premise is.

All I can say is, if a person is too scared to fly our flag, that many Americans died for,. or afraid of those it might offend if you fly it, or scared vandals might destroy it, it sounds like you are ashamed of the American flag. Maybe you should find another country that you aren't afraid to fly their flag and move there.

I don't care who my flag offends, or what they think of me for flying it. Anyone setting foot on my land, and messing with my flags, will suffer the consequences.

I agree but also if he's that afraid, over a flag, we most definitely wont be able to count on him to join the fight for our rights in any way that one can do so. In fact, I'd go as far to say that I would be weary of a double cross, in certain situations. I honestly don't want to make false declarations about someone I do not know well, but this whole state of mind behind the premise and the deflecting responses, makes one presume cowardice in one's heart.

My flag flies ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT, and even when I'm out of town. I grew up in a rough part of my city and still live here because I got a huge house as a damn good price, and their older house, built when materials were hard core. Most of the people in my area are good people, but there are, more than murderers, thieves all around. Because of this, I leave all of my lights off around my house, at night, because I don't like helping thieves see what they're doing. However, I light my flag up like a firing squad in front of a crowd of pedophiles.

Working on getting a Texas flag, as well. I'm proud to be American, but these days it's a lot easier to be proud of Texas than it is, the US.

I asked him two very simple questions, which he failed to answer. Mavs/Gambler being a leftist? That is something I have pondered upon several times now. In some ways, I do think he possible leans towards that political ideology, just in the way he answers questions and the things he believes in.

Coward, spineless, Nancy-Boy, and some other assorted but less than forum friendly terms come to mind that I might use to describe such people. Then might not be totally accurate, and another one that pops into my mind is he's a sheep. Someone that likes to enjoy the freedoms and rights of America, just as long as it requires no commitment or sacrifices on his part. I don't believe I am making false accusations in the least. My opinions are arrived at from his own comments. He is more than welcome to defend himself against those accusations. But he hasn't. And the thing is, quite a few others seem to come to the same conclusions as I did.

    Don't know HKShooter either, sorry.

I'm definitely not a leftist, don't know about Gambler or HKShooter since I never saw any of their posts.

oh well, opinions are kind of like....well, you know the rest

Did you, or are you flying an American flag?

If not, then it's rather obvious, that you are either afraid, or ashamed or whatever reasons. You display one in your avatar because it's safe and requires no commitment or sacrifice on your part. You are a hypocrite. IMO, if you won't fly the American flag in front of your home for everyone that passes by to see, you have no right to use it as your avatar.

And I'll again ask you two very simple questions.
    1. Where do you live that vandals are that bad?
    2. How many American flags have you had vandalized?

Our opinions are based on your own statements and comments.

Mavs, more than a few have already made the connection that you are Gambler. You may be changing your IP so the Mods can't trace you to a former username on the forum, but they are already aware of you and are watching you.

It's just a short matter of time before you say something that outs you to them and they ban you yet again. In a nutshell, now one here wants you around the forum because you are nothing but a troll. Go find a commie and socialist forum to join and spout your nonsense.

Been flying our flag for years, both in Iowa and now in Texas. I bring it in if the weather is predicted to be really nasty since I do not have a good pole yet here in Texas…but I hope to change that pretty soon too. Half our neighborhood had flags out this weekend. When we first moved here nobody was flying a flag, now two of our neighbors flags are flying all the time too. I like it!

My flag pole turned out to be too heavy for the base. I need a new, more solid base for our flag pole. I had our US flag and Trump flag flying past the election, not that anyone was going to see them, as far off the road as our house is, but still

I live on a county road in the rural part of our county, that might on some days. have four or five cars pass by. I still fly my flag so anyone that does pass by and see that flag, knows I'm proud to be an American, and proud to show it.

But your opinions don't matter. You are obviously the resident pain in the ass on this forum and for some reason seem to think you are in charge.

I live in Texas and have had 2 actually stolen, not vandalized.

Now do you feel better ? I'm sorry that this Gambler guy wouldn't let you suck...oh well, you know. But you sure seem to have longings for him still. But hang in there, you will get over it someday.

I'm wondering if he flies a gay pride flag!
I was kind of wondering that about you. But you probably would not tell the truth anyway. You make up so many stories on here that it's very hard to know what you tell that is true and what is BS.

    Have a nice day.

The one place I believe I have privilege is in the fact I was born American, and I'm proud of that. I didn't realize how great America was until I noticed that there are some that want to take away what makes America great. I oppose that, just like I oppose those that want what is mine. I left the northwest and made my way to Texas. In Texas I found what was missing in the northwest, the amount of freedom. Now it's not perfect, but it is a far sight better than what I saw on the west coast. At least here I can protect what is mine and can pronounce my beliefs that America is great without fear of reprisal. Seeing the flag flying at my home brings me a sense of joy, and I'll be damned if I would let others take that joy away. If I had to, I would put up a sign that reads: THIS IS TEXAS, MESS WITH MY PROPERTY AND YOU WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!
