    My guess is that he will need protection and will likely remain in D.C. where it will be harder for retaliation?

    Yeah, Capital Hill Police Lt. Mike Byrd. He'd been identified as the shooter for quite awhile, but of course, they denied it for the better narrative as a Secret Service Agent.
