Why do people admit to having mental disorders on a gun forum?

Why are they around guns when they admit that they are dangerous when they're off their meds? And then they admit that they're not taking their meds...?

Why are these people not banned from the forum?

Why are they not banned from gun ownership?

I admitted to my condition because I'm not at all ashamed of it, I don't believe in hiding the truth from people, and most of all, I'm one of the lucky/smart people who takes precautions against shit like psychotic breakdowns or medication shortages. Yes, I've made mistakes in my time here. Yes, I regret every fucking one of them. If I could go back and undo it, I'd do so in a heart-beat. Unfortunately, I can't, so I'm doing what I can to mend the fences/bridges broken back then.


Please, Alex. Do us all a favor - don't try to pass judgement on someone/something you apparently don't understand and/or are misinformed/under-informed about.


Edit: If being honest gets me banned, then so fucking be it.
