If someone is a brass vulture, there's no better solution than berdan primed brass case.The choice of whether a country uses Berdan or Boxer primers is simple: Boxer primers are easy to reload as there is a single flash hole in the center of the case, because Boxer primers contain an anvil to "crush" against. Berdan primers use a central point on the case to "crush" against, so there are 2 flash holes off of the center. Much more difficult to reload. Want to control who has ammo out in the public? Require it all to be Berdan primed.
Those of us who reload have broken or bent decapping pins during a busy reloading session and have sent many ugly, hateful words towards the rotting corpse of Mr. Berdan.
Just curious why they are called Boxer primers.
