Looking for a good WiFi extender. Two story house, drop connection in master bedroom. Anyone know of a good extender I can get to solve this issue?

What you're searching for is called a "Wireless bridge".

You can find a D Link DI-632 8 port router fairly cheap, and install DD WRT firmware. This will turn it into a versatile networking tool.

You can then turn it in to a repeater, or a bridge. whichever tickles your fancy.

    D Link is a brand
    DI-632 is a model number
DD WRT is the name of third party firmware
repeater is just what it sounds like... I repeats things
bridge is just what it sounds like... a way to get things from point a to point be... This one happens to be intended for packets, and is wireless.

I can explain in more detail if you want.

But be forewarned, with a repeater, you will suffer some degradation in speed... but not as much as a poor connection.

    Way out here
I would love to work out a deal with you on one of the Apple Airport Extremes or Airport Expresses that I just took out of service at my house. They are newest or next to newest generation technology.

I don't know if this will solve your specific problem, but Google "powerline networking." It's pretty awesome for its intended application. Basically is uses the existing power lines in your walls to send a super-strong signal from one end of the house to the other.
