Winchester 1200 for $250, good deal?

Found this at a pawn shop. It's missing the buttplate and has a slip on recoil pad.

Anyone know if that's worth it at $250?

You can make a lower offer at pawn shops. Sometimes they will let you have it cheaper depending on what they have into it. Might bring it down a few bucks.

Can't quote the dates, but the chronology of the Defenders is 1200, 1300, and now the SPX Defender.

I had a 1300 defender (synthetic) is great shape that I sold for $225 in 2008, so $250 for a 1200 in good shape is not out of line. But I would try to get it lower, maybe offer @200 and hope for splitting the difference at $225. Who knows, you might even get it for $200!

I have a 1300 that has been nothing but reliable for longer than I can remember. IIRC, I got it around 1996. I'd try to get them lower, but I would be leaving that store with that gun.
