    Found at the estate we are helping is a box of 1874 type tong tools in different calibers. Questions are:--should they be cleaned and oiled and where should we look to ask a fair price? They have light rust.

    I have seen great antiques with superb patinas "cleaned" and it has their value reduced to zero!
