I absolutely love KNS so this is not a bash thread. More of a WTF thread.

WTF KNS? Why U Do Dis?

The topic of this WTF is non-interchangeability of simple components which exists for no other reason than to make one say WTF. A scenario I just so happened upon today when I decided to change out some Gen 2 Mod 2 pins for Gen 2 Mod 1 pins (I've just found I like them better for various reasons. So sue me).

Opened the pack, grabbed the two provided torx wrenches

And thought great, I don't need to dig out my old wrenches to remove the Mod 2s. Crap. Wrong. The screws are different. Why? They even had to machine a different pin to accept the larger screws for this one. Why? No sense at all.

Anyway, I went to dig through my magnetic bowl of different proprietary tools that came with whatever crap I've bought in the past:

And of course found only one of them so I had to wing it with that one and a similar sized allen because anyone who keeps their stuff better organized than I do are just crazy people who the government should be keeping an eye on.

Thanks to KNS WTF a 1 minute job turned into a 1.5 minute job.

Do you know off hand if the Gen1 torx wrench will work on VZ Grips torx screws? Random I know but I have some on order and figured I'd try some of my existing wrenches since VZ doesn't supply any with their grips or screws.

VZ grips use a T-15 Torx. The KNS Gen 2 Mod 2 uses T-8 and the Gen 2 Mod 2 uses T-10. So no, they won't work.
