Have been looking for people here that have interests in common with mine. Saw a thread somewhere when you were in conversation with Tnhawk and that you know radio equipment. I'm a ham operator since 1976, AA5OI. Noticed you used the bump term, which very common on Free Republic, have been there a long time. My father in law was an intelligence officer in the 82 Airborne for short while, then spent 40 years at Pantex. Great man, I miss him. Took him for his last visit to the plant Oct 30, 2009. He died in December 2009. Question? are there many Ham Operators here? I've not seen the pattern , but am very new here. Most people I have met are gun focused as the forum name suggests.

I only have my technician ticket and am not heavily into ham, but I do have an FT-991a like the one being sold here...

Thanks. I have a lot of ham gear. 45 years of it. Last 20 years I've largely been taking care of sick and/or elderly family. I'm back into the active side of hobby for 3 of years.
