Nice. I love mine. Got it at a pawn shop 20 years ago. It's a good deer slayer. Shot my first deer with that gun the day after I bought it.

I have a great 125g hollow point load if you want it.

Took my first deer with a 30-30 (Win '94). Still have it.

125g HP? Isn't that a tad on the light side for 30-30? The '94 seems to prefer the 170g bullets.

That 125 is a great load for 30-30. Every deer I've shot with it dropped on the spot.

Maybe for target shooting or heavy brush you need a heavier bullet, but for Texas deer it's more than enough.

In 20 years I've never broken mine down. Cleaned and oiled it.

I like Marlins and have a few...this one has killed a couple of pigs, but no TX whitetail yet. Hopefully, this year.

Levers are by far my favorite style of rifle. I bought a 45-70 Marlin SBL last year and love shooting the rifle. I'm in the market for a solid .308 lever action but have been hesitant so far as I prefer the ghost rings like my Marlin has and not the leaf sights. Out of my entire armory of firearms, the lever action is by far the funnest thing to shoot.
