have owned a bolt action in 30-06 since the early 1980's i'm a huge fan of catridges in 7mm diameter!

That 37th one I fired out of my Mini-14 at your place a few months ago. That one was sweet. Bowling pin didn't know what hit it.

.50 BMG. For all out fun with no politically correct or socially redeeming qualities in some states, it’s a blast hitting engine blocks, cinder blocks, large trees (all the way through) and still stable & supersonic at 2000 yards.
But the older I get the heavier the Barrett gets. So it might be a .308 soon.

Heathen. The M1 Carbine is fun to shoot...and reminds me of my childhood. I'll be throwing a bus full of screaming passengers at you for your blasphemy.

Dropped my first deer in 68 with an 30-06. Still love that round, and have that gun. As Axxe said " rifle cartridges", got to include a few others. I started using a 25-06 in 79 for yotes, and prairie dogs. It became the go to gun for everything. With so many bullets available when you reload, these two are everything from work horse to fun guns. Then I stumbled across the 45-70. Launching 300, 400, and 500 grain bullets at just about anything is quite therapeutic. A 45-70 with a subsonic .457 round ball will pick off squirrels and bunnies with out disturbing the pastoral beauty of the forest.

I'm a fan of both surplus and efficient calibers like 6.5grendel

To be honest, the only centerfire rifles I own are in .303 British. It's done what I've needed, and I don't shoot rifle enough change now.

I also have a .30-30 levergun that my Dad left me. I keep it at my Mom's house in case me or my BIL need one there....hogs have been an issue.
