so i just realized that i have been shooting for a little over a year now. i bought my very first gun in april of 2007. went as follows.

    springfield xd9 service
    glock 30
    glock 21sf
    para ordnance ssp 1911
    kimber pro carry
    para ordnance slim hawg
    dan wesson cbob (10mm)
    glock 27
    glock 30
    glock 26
    dan wesson cbob (.45acp)
rock river ar15 pistol (bought for little over $300, sold for $525, lol)
    smith wesson mp15
    springfield emp
springfield loaded full size 1911 (9mm)

right now i only have the EMP and full size 9mm. i plan to build a glock later (g19 frame, g17 or g34 slide, grip reduction on frame, vanek trig pack) and i really want to fiddle with a SBR project (ar15 chambered in .45acp) but with the prices of ammo, the grand or more id spend in either of those projects will have to go to ammo.

Before conceal carry I rarely ever had more than one handgun. Once we got conceal carry everything changed. Handguns went from safe/nightstand duty to everyday working tools. This also created a need for different guns in size and type to fit all my different activities. I have been through so many guns over the past 10 years or so I have lost track, must be no less than 120.

My birthday is coming up later this month. On my birthday last year I finally bought my first handgun. It's been just about a full year and this is what I've purchased since then:

    -1st gun was a S&W SW99 .40sw (shouldn't have sold it, good gun)
-Taurus PT92 (awesome deal, bought new, came with ~5 extra mags!)
-Sig P220 .45acp (Still have it, no matter what else I buy I keep coming back to this one)
-Sig P225 (P6 version, same thing)
    -H&K P9S Combat
    -H&K HK4

I'm hopeful a certain rare gun stays at a local dealer so I can purchase it for my b-day and eventually suppress it. :)

I've been around a lot of years and into guns most of those years. Maybe 20 years ago I sold most of my guns when I got bored with it. In the past couple of years I have started building my little collection up again. I currently have the guns listed in my signature.

I just picked up the "new in box" H&K P7M8 yesterday. I actually chose it over a H&K Mk23, although the Mk23 is still available if I choose to get it also. (working on wife at present time). I'm trying to stick with the "not so run of the mill" H&K's. I got the FN Five-seveN due to it's controversial calibre and the outstanding price i got it for.

    Dallas Texas or so
I got my first 1911 when Eisenhower was president. I was 11 at the time
Since then I have owned the following brands of pistols
Colt, walther, ruger, S&W, Kimber, Springfield Baer, Randall, IMI, St. Etienne (french martiial arms from 1822) Luger, Mauser, and others that I don't remember. Most were purchased prior to the 1968 laws.

The only shooter I ever had that was "plastic" was a Pea shooter in Elementary School and several water pistols.

About all I can say is it's a damn good thing my wife understands my addiction.

I bought a Remington "Viper" and a Lorcin .380 off a buddy of mine back when I was 20. I loved guns, but was in my early 20's without much money and trying to get a business started. They weren't high on my priority list. Fast foward to 2005, I had an offer from anothe buddy to trade some stereo equipment for an SKS and 10/22. I traded him, went shooting for the first the time in years and remembered how much I loved guns. Me and the wife went to the gun show about a month later and we bought a P22 and Hipoint Carbine. Then I decided I needed a shotgun. Enter the Maverick 88. Then came a PT-92 a few weeks later. And then I just started buying about a gun a month until I bought a house, then it slowed a little. Then business fell off and I have bought a gun in several months.:(

Hopefully things will pick up soon and I can get back to my 1/mo. I was happy when I was able to do that.

More than I can remember for sure.......but will try.

    1. S&W Military Police (Worn out when I got it.)
    2. Ruger 22 Auto
    3. S&W K-38 4"
    4. 1911 45 auto (Milsurp)
    5. Stoeger Luger (Dog)
    6. Ruger 22 Mag (interchangable cyls)
    7. Walther P-38 (Milsurp)
    8. 1911 45 auto (another milsurp)
    9. Colt Trooper .357
    10. S&W Chief's Special
    11. 1911 45 auto (another milsurp)
    12. Ruger 256
    13. Ruger 30 Carbine
    14. Colt Gov. Model
    15. S&W Highway Patrolman
    16. Luger 9MM (Milsurp)
    17. S&W K-38 (snub nosed)
    18. Colt Gold Cup
    19. S&W M-19 3" Stainless (CIA Model)
    20. S&W Hunter Classis .41 Mag.
    22. Ruger .22 Auto #2 and a target model also
    23. S&W .22 Stainless 4"
    24. S&W .22 Snubby (blue steel)
    25. Walther PPK 380
    26. Kimber .45 Auto
    27. Taurus PT-1911

Only the Taurus, the S&W 22 w/4"bbl, the S&W 41 Mag, the stainless 3" 357 by S&W and my last Ruger .22 auto have stuck with me. The rest are history. Lugers were dogs. Most of the other Rugers were poor. All the govt 45's could be tuned and made to shoot good. Kimber 45 was very unremarkable and unreliable. Kimber quality control sucks. Most of the rest were good pistols. I remember several I left out but they were basically the same things. I always kept about 5 or 6 pistols at a time and have sort of "circulated them" over the years according to my whims.

It's safe to say I love shooting pistols.:)
