Overthrow of our Govt has been going on for some time. The "Deep State" is really communist infiltration into our Govt. When I came into the Govt you had to swear that you had never been a member of the Communist party etc. That was struck down by SCOTUS back in the 70's. I remember talking about with others and yes if you were a communist that would not preclude you from working for the Govt.

Any cursory study of the treatment of Trump screams Communist Doctrine. While you can say a lot about Trump you cannot say he is a far-left ideologue, Socialist or anti-Constitutionalist. The media in the US today is nothing but propaganda which is politically driven. Look at what is being taught in our schools and the govt take over of raising children.

Look at any of those running for POTUS on the Dim side with the exception of Biden, you see classic OLD school communism-Socialism. Biden, on the other hand, is a follower he echos that which is trending in his sphere which is all he has done in his life. Modern Communism is based upon Capitalism-Fascism, like Russia, China and Vietnam.

Is an extremist like McCarthy what this country needs? I think not.

What this country does not need are extremists on any of the sides because extremists are always out to get the other guy. Extreme conservatives are pretty much one and the same as extreme liberals - they both justify almost anything to get what they want in the name of their cause and all others who disagree are pretty much the enemy. What is their cause - extreme control.
