I’m pretty sure my next bolt gun will be the ruger American go wild edition in 30-06.

Would be a disservice to get this rifle in 6.5cm
I have the same gun in 308 and 300wm. As far as the 308 goes, I have shotguns with tighter groups when it comes to factory ammo. Absolutely horrible 3-4moa with match ammo. Once I got a handload spun up for it, the accuracy was amazing. The 300wm had a bolt that was difficult to open after each round fired, sent back to Ruger and a replacement rifle was sent. No mention of what the issue was at all, just a brand new rifle sent to the ffl. The new one is nice

They both have insanely long throats, the 300wm so much that my handloads have an OAL that is too long for the damn magazine. Bell and carlson makes a stock for the long action. I have it on mine and it is awesome. I would also suggest a mcarbo or other brand trigger spring. My 308 didnt need one but my 300wm did (good ole Ruger QC). Best sub $10 upgrade ever.

My 308 is my go to and has earned a spot in the safe after a very frustrating start. I am moving on to a different brand now but I am keeping my Rugers. Let me know if you find that specific rifle in stock anywhere. Ive tried for 2 years to locate the 06 model in stock to no avail

Gotta wear your elmer fudd getup and make sure you only shoot yearling bucks. This way they dont get too mature or anything. Best to shoot them all before the rut too

Next time we meet up to do some swapping/selling etc. Bring your Elmer Fudd gear and meet at a range. You can try out a .25MOA 6.5CM. It likes the cheap Hornady and I have some.

@Dawico don't you have a 6mm creed? Why are you not picture posting in here?
Yeah, I moved to 6mm CM when the 6.5 CM got too mainstream for me.

I actually picked up a second 6mm CM but a buddy wanted it more than I did. Never even shot it.

My rifle has no business in this Fudd thread.

This thread has wood stock and glossy scope written all over it. Definitely not my style.
