The two at the top of the list are 1) I guess we're all criminals, if I'm going to try and sell any of my guns (I'm not), I'm going to try and make a profit and 2) ANYBODY comes to my home and crashes through my door at dawn, we're gonna have a gunfight. ETA at 2217:Just saw the affidavit, seems I was wrong with my guess about this not being serious enough to justify a raid.

I didn’t see anything in the court document or mentioned that gave the impression that a raid like this was the best course of action.

I would say the ATF once again turned what could have been a very safe arrest in to a deadly shootout…

My son got in touch with me to tell me he had been trying to figure out why Mr. Malinowski seemed so familiar to him; then he remembered he bought some ammo from him at a gun show and is pretty certain I sold him a firearm to him at a gun show, probably in Conway, AR. I don't recall a thing about making a sale to him; all I can say is he looks vaguely familiar so maybe I did or maybe I just saw him at some shows. I hope I did not, I hate to imagine what could possibly happen ( as in go wrong) if ATF decided to serve a no knock warrant on me at my place. Then again, all they'd have to do is call me to set up a meeting, no warrant required as I have nothing to hide. Yet, I know for a fact no knock warrants are often obtained because of some in law enforcement who are wannabe Wyatt Earps and dread the result should they ever serve one on me because the case agent or another on the raid is that Wyatt Earp type.

Read on a different forum that he was a regular seller at the shows, so your assumptions may be correct.

If he was selling as an individual, there was not need for ID or paperwork.

This is why the ATF wants to rewrite the regs so that everyone who sells a single gun can be classified as a dealer.

Still no word as to how the shooting began. The brother's statement indicates it was a no-knock. ATF going cowboy again.

Perhaps he was a dealer, still no excuse for how this went down.

Doesn’t really help their case. They claim there’s a gun show loophole. All you have to do is point to this story and say “nope, the ATF will shoot you in the head for that.”

They don't care that if the person is killed, arrested or got away. They will spin it as "they deserved it" or "we need to do more". It's a win/win for fundraising either way.

You don’t get shot in the head for using loopholes. They argue gunshows don’t require background checks.

Doesn’t matter if they care about someone being killed. It still doesn’t support the argument. The straw man you built really doesn’t stay together. They like stories that support the loophole narrative. This doesn’t.

Private sales are not my "strawman", it's theirs. If you don't receive emails from everytown, moveon, etc. then I suggest you sign up for them. It's always good to know how the other side thinks, talks, and fund raises.

I know what they think. I can scroll Reddit and not need my email clogged with garbage.

The “straw man” I was referring to was not their claim, it was referring to your claim of how this would be used. While we can both agree they are dishonest and use disinformation regarding current laws to push their agenda, I disagree what this case will be helpful to them and latched on to in any large way. It works against their narrative that you can legally sell at gunshows without background checks since the whole story is about a guy that was shot in the head for doing just that.

But aside from all that, if you really want to know what’s in the heads of the far left skip the corporatized messaging and scroll through a Reddit sub. I have to warn you though, it’s known to have substantial negative health effects as well as degradation of cognitive abilities.
