Well give the anti-gun crowd enough time they will try try try again to ban firearms.

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses Colorado HB 24-1292, a bill to ban assault weapons (and lots of other types of firearms) in Colorado.

At end of video are the numbers in the CO legislature and the numbers favor the Ds with the democratic governor. This bill could become law.

"'Democrats introduced an assault weapons ban at the Colorado statehouse late Friday, a move which is sure to inflame the legislature and potential push away some in the party who have expressed reservations about whether the state could enforce such a ban...At the center of the debate is the question of what constitutes an assault weapon." No s**t, Sherlock

CO politically is what is called a 'democratic triffecta', dems control both houses in legislature and governor's office. So the bill could pass...maybe.

"Sure, they still have control, but a lot of those Democrats represent districts where they’ll have to fight to retain office. That fight becomes harder if people have a reason to oppose them, obviously."

Hard to keep track of all of them but my count of banned or working to ban semi-auto rifles is CA, WA, OR, NJ, WI, NY, CT, DL, HI, IL, MD, MA, NY.
I guess NY really wants them banned

For those who don't subscribe yet to MrGunsnGear channel here is his take on CO passing their modern sporting rifle ban to further civilian disarmament. The votes are there to pass the bill and a governor who will sign it. Then years of court battles to get it overturned before eventual overruled.

CO getting closer to making this law. Read more at Truth about Guns blog.

The Colorado House of Representatives, controlled by Democrats, passed a bill on Sunday that aims to ban the sale and transfer of semiautomatic firearms, marking a significant legislative move that could align Colorado with other states that have similar prohibitions, according to ABC News. The bill, which was approved by a 35-27 vote, now heads to the Democratic-majority state Senate.

:peace::roflsmile::drummer::tree: Christmas came early for the lawful and responsible gun owners or wanna-be ones in CO.

With less than 72 hours left in the Colorado legislative session, today Senate Democrats announced they would be shelving HB24-1292, the so-called “Assault Weapons” ban! Read more at AmmoLand blog with video.

Senate bill sponsor Julie Gonzales of Denver said: “After thoughtful conversations with my Senate colleagues, I decided that more conversations need to take place outside of the pressure cooker of the Capitol during the last weeks of the legislative session.”

Great now I have to detour around Colorado and possibly New Mexico to hunt in Montana. Thankfully Oklahoma Kansas and Nebraska and Wyoming are not on that train. It will add 2or three hours to the trip. I will be taking 1 or 2 this year for the fun factor. Normally just 2 bolt action guns.
Technically you can travel through Colorado and New Mexico but ....

In parliamentary procedure, the motion to postpone indefinitely is a subsidiary motion used to kill a main motion without taking a direct vote on it. This motion does not actually "postpone" it.
