IIRC, when the law was first passed there was a great deal of talk about the definition of a holster because the law used the word without defining it.Why is a pocket not a holster?
Me too.Been discussed in many threads.
I open carry under an untucked shirt.
Yeah, that's what I meant too.Yeah, maybe I should have stated OWB, under an untucked shirt.
Chances are if it's in a pocket, it's not very visible... and defining a holster in a way where it would exclude a pants pocket would be difficult.IIRC, when the law was first passed there was a great deal of talk about the definition of a holster because the law used the word without defining it.
And is a holster a pocket?Why is a pocket not a holster?

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't a holster a requirement for OPEN carry. Concealed carry does not "require" a holster.
Effectively correct.
If any part of the pistol is plainly visible, the pistol must be holstered. If no part is plainly visible, the code is silent.
Let’s pull the thread. Let’s say @Moonpie wore his skin tight pleather hot pants to the local Glockshop and Drop today and stuck a little derringer in the front pocket. No part of the gun is visible, but the outline is obvious.
Can an LEO, upon the mere sight of this glorious image stop good ‘ol Moonpie to conduct an investigation as to what’s in his hot pants? If so, under what authority?
I think that’s the RCH people are trying to split.
Why have you been following me around?
This makes me uncomfortable.
Now I need to go see my therapist and write of this trauma in my journal.
Yes, see the UCW flow chartCorrect me if I am wrong but isn't a holster a requirement for OPEN carry. Concealed carry does not "require" a holster.
It would be a stretch...Effectively correct.
