People need to realize that their #1 responsibility at any job is to go home after their shift.

And no, did not turn into a complete mist, someone had to go get a broom, and shovel to scrape up all the bits.
Someone will have to pull that engine, and probably disassemble it.
I feel sorry for the people having to do that...

I saw a video of that happening to a Navy guy on a carrier - miraculously he survived, but he was pretty trashed...

The one where he was sucked into an A-6 Intruder? Yeah, the airflow ripped his helmet off, which trashed the turbines and damaged the engine enough that it stopped running before he got far enough down the intake to be killed. Huge fireball out the back of the engine from the damage the helmet did. Lucky break for him.

How can you not see the jet coming at you?Wonder how much safety training they get as contractors. Hopefully not from the Titan sub guy.

Their job involves walking around while jets are taxiing nearby and being moved - it's all a matter of staying where you're supposed to while the jet is in various positions or being moved various directions, and the people controlling where the jet is making sure it's where it's supposed to be. If either of those things is a little bit "off"...disaster strikes.

All it takes is one person or piece of equipment out of place...

His clothing also got caught on a probe in the inlet.

I've cleaned up engines after bird strikes so I know what they can do, Turbojets anyway. A large turbofan like that would chop you into smaller pieces but not a mist because you would probably only go through the fan.

Not being disrespectful here but wanting to know if they would not just replace that engine afterwards if w 200 lb human went thru it?
It would have to be cleaned and inspected at a minimum
I imagine this in in video as there are cameras everywhere ok the ramp
