Just finished class, question on applying

Im applying online, and it is asking for my employer information. I have been self employed (contract labor type) for the past 5 years. I receive 1099's every year, but i dont have an actual business name, or filed with comptroller ect ect. What do i do?

I entered Self Employed, my address, phone, etc...

Put that down.

I agree: put that down - I was in the same position some years back. Companies are more interested that you had the drive to keep working than on what your official job status was. Also, unexplained breaks in work history sometimes indicate things like jail time.
