So you are in Texas. If you are in West Texas you have a 13 hour drive, without stops to my area. If you are in South Texas you have it made, you are only 12 hours away, without stops.
I understand you may be reluctant to say where you are from, but it may be a good idea to let us know where you are ( in general) domiciled.

Me too! Dove leases are plentiful in North Central Texas but no Doves.

You should look at Arkansas unless money is no object. I am on a lease in AR that costs me $500 ish a year. Add in the $350 for out of state hunting license and it is still thousands cheaper than anything in Texas.

More reasonable leases ARE out there - but they aren't easy to find, and when you do, jump on it.

License went up to $410 this year and turkey stamps are not included anymore, they are another $100.
