I have always believed we will find a political way to counter the socialists. They are winning. I don't know if our side is just too busy working and raising families to fight back and the left is so full of hate that they devote their whole lives to our demise or what the problem is. Are we just too dumb fat and happy? We keep this insane deficit spending, foreign investors will stop investing in our country and our fiat currency will collapse. Scares me that the same group leading us to ruin also wants to disarm us.

But I'm not just talking gun rights, but freedom in general. Too many gun guys ignore the other issues, don't vote or vote for the wrong side.

I was small gun shop today to pick up a AR lower I had shipped in. He had 3 AR's in stock and we got to talking current events.

In a nutshell, his opinion was that people have been saying for years that the country is going to hell and it never does. Things always seem to work out. I think this is the general attitude of the majority. I know it was my attitude during the last AWB. That was at the beginning of the internet (about the time Al Gore invented it) and info being able to be passed quickly. I knew few who cared. People now believe that nothing bad can happen because this is America. 9/11 was an anomaly. I don't think many will wake up until something goes seriously wrong.

Very true. They won't believe it until some jack-booted thugs kick down their door and confiscate all their weapons. More and more control of our private lives is being turned over to the government, through little bits and pieces of legislation, and before too long things will be so far out of hand many will wonder "How did that happen in America?" Well, it happened because too many people were asleep at the switch and weren't paying attention to legislation being passed that allowed it to happen. Just like all the liberals saying "we're not trying to take your guns" when they come up with all these "reasonable restrictions" on guns, ammo and magazines. My comment to any liberals who make that idiotic statement and support "reasonable restrictions" is "What part of "Shall not be infringed" do you NOT understand?" There is no such thing as a "reasonable restriction" noted anywhere in the Second Amendment. It boils down to the liberals using the 'go back to flintlocks and muskets' shit when addressing Second Amendment issues. I tell them that if THAT is their understanding of the Second Amendment then the First Amendment only applies to quill pens and screw presses, because the Founding Fathers didn't know about typewriters, ballpoint pens and computers.
