I'm pretty sure I followed that. Maybe you could text me a pic of you holding it final position? For sure there'll be practice to figure out what works best. Under the arm looks Granny Clampett sweet...but I'm thinking uh no. LOLMG, I have two Mossberg 500 pistol grip, 18" barrel shotguns at hand.
With low recoil buck they are fine.
I have found the correct way to shoot these from the hip....DO NOT hold them down low like a pistol! Turn your hand to the outside, palm up, like Crocodile Dundee checking the package. Think holding it like a shouldered shotgun, then rotating to the outside 90 degrees as you let the gun diwn ti hip level. It is far easier to control, and not hard on the wrist or hand. It is easier to hold up in place, don't brace it on your hip, let it recoil and swing...it points rather well also.
Texas Gun Trader often has Mossberg 500s and Maverick 88s at great prices.

Thanks for sharing that. If I ever do need to self-defend with it here at home, bruises will be a reasonable trade.I made the mistake of bracing my sawed off 12 gauge like in the movies.
It took me a couple days to get over that as far as walking, I carried a bruise for a month or so,
One box will be plenty for me...so I'd get two. If things changed might stock some up..but as they are now this would be far from first line defense. How much ammo is needed for a home defense shotgun over its lifetime?
I like that! The $1k price not so much.Or one of these:
Axe .410 | Henry Repeating Arms
Not all firearms need to fit neatly into categories like hunting, home protection, or good ol’ backyard plinking. Simply being fun to pull out of the scabbard and shoot again and again should be a category all its own. For those that join us in considering this an important category, the Lever...www.henryusa.com
Because thats the 9 pellet, not the 8.And yet the link states that it's available.
Ah, adventures in reading, lol....Because thats the 9 pellet, not the 8.
My friend gave his wife one.I like that! The $1k price not so much.
I had a Rossi lever action 410 and it would jam at first until I shot at least a hundred rounds. Fun gun to plink around with except for the expensive shells. My friend gave his wife one.
I bought all the ammo I could find....it would jam on anything but the big name brands.
I do not recommend....

I cut the original stock down to a pistol grip.
