I was fishing (first day of feeling human since Friday) - before and during the eclipse. It got a bit darker - kinda like it was an hour before sundown. Then a storm rolled in - couldn't tell the eclipse had passed because it never really got lighter - just as the eclipse was supposed to pass, the clouds came in and started raining. Fifteen minutes later full blown thunder storm. Have had 3X strikes right over or immediately next to the house. Rattled the place. Scared the shit out of the dogs. Now its thunder off in the distance, and drizzle. Wife and I are making a trek into town for a grocery run.

Dude. At your age it’s rare to see something you’ve never seen.

That’s why I made a big deal of it. Bought my employees eclipse glasses and we stopped down for an hour.

That was very cool to see.
Yep. I’ll never spend thousands to camp somewhere and hope it doesn’t rain. So this was a one time shot for me.

Would have taken my kids out of school for the day if it wasn’t closed.

Way too cloudy in Bastrop, but I did get a couple shots.
The clouds were heavy enough that I had to take my solar filter off to get anything, but that turned ok since I was able to get this one with the birds flying past. You can also see some sunspots.

I got some others too, but this was the last one before the clouds got to thick to get any others and prevented me from geting any shots of totality.

My daughter lives 20 miles to my west and did manage to get this with her phone.

Nothing out of the ordinary here in Orange, as we are supposed to get a max of 90%. Overcast and raining now as it is supposed to do for the rest of the day.

Yep, a big zero over here. It did get a bit darker but you couldn't see anything. Wife was driving around and said many people looking up with no glasses on.

Clear skies when it happened. Coolest shit I’ve seen in a while.
Yep, wasn't all that charged about it, but thanks to neighbors who needed a clear shot due to trees in their yard, and brought a spare set of glasses, it turned out pretty damned awesome:
