What video games do you adults play?

Anyone try the new Call of Duty? Been wanting to get some feedback on if its worth picking up. Any other recommendations appreciated as well! I prefer games I can play with other people.

I dont think there are many gamers on this forum. I have the new COD. It's nothing special. It's not a must-have. They changed a few things. New guns and attachments. I can't say it's good or bad. It's just standard cod.

I play Operation Flash Point (a 2001 game) and its descendants now called Armed Assault (ArmA). I tend to play a game for years until I am bored, then buy the next one (often not the latest one) at a discount. I am playing the original Left for Dead (2008) now. I have Left for Dead 2 waiting in the wings. Got them both on Steam for under $3.

In the past I was big into Command and Conquer through Red Alert, and Generals. I have also played Half Life and some of its sequels.

I don't play COD or any game that requires kernel level access on the anti cheat. Its an absolutely unnecessary invasion of my privacy.


Yes I play video games. Google my screen name. I have 200 to 1000 hours on over 300 games. I'm not a fat lard either I hit the gym 4 days a week and run about 10 to 15 miles a week ;-)

Driving in Dallas area, I've seen people on their phones who appear to be playing Pac-Man since they aren't paying attention (probably texting or on Facebook) and gobbling up the dots on the freeway.

I mainly play on PC. ARK DBD, TCM and the occasional WoW or Final Fantasy 14 . I also play on the meta quest 3

I honestly don't remember ever owning any video game console or system but about 20 years ago I did fly Microsoft flight Sim alot online with some friends for about a year
That was fun.

I just don't see the enjoyment in that ...waste of time it seems

I sued to enjoy a WW II combat flight simulator called Aces High. I had to quit cold turkey. I was spending way too much time on it. Like every waking moment of the day and night when I wasn't at work.

I will play Red Dead Redemption on occasion when the grandkids come to visit.

Other than that, no. I got ammo to load & real guns to shoot.

My son told me MWII was free to play,
I played MWII DMZ for like a week, and went ahead and bought it.
Haven't really played anything like CS:GO, or TF2 since.

When they went full-pinko-commie on the language smack-talking w/AI, before they dropped MWIII, I decided I won't give them money for MWIII.

Every few years I get a wild hair,
and slap an NES emulator on a TV...
A couple bluetooth controllers work well, but if ARM based we notice some lag at times,
if x86/x86_64 based no lag...

Generally older games. But when I’m not it’s usually some sort of “Map Game” as my wife calls them (ie RTS/grand strategy/etc).
