I hate to out myself so plainly but, has anyone else been watching that show on TruTV? I'll say first I'm not a fan of Jesse and there are several flaws with the program however, the "big brother" episode was really good. It is also scary at the same time, in that episode they made a claim that martial law is coming. I've had major concerns about different things I think are going to happen and well lets just say that show isn't helping those concerns at all. Anyway I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this kind of discussion but, if you guys aren't watching it some of the shows are worth catching up on.

I saw the video clips of his HAARP "Investigation" and thought that he was a ridiculous TV hack. To paraphrase one of his statements he claimed that since he was a former Navy SeAL he was entitled to see any top secret programs. What an ignoramus!

I like the back and forth, thats actually what this board is missing but sometimes it's about the message not the messenger.
For those interested in watching just ignore Jesse and listen to what is being said, treat this the same as any other news or media in general :eat the hay and spit out the sticks.

I missed the BB episode, but the HAARP episode really wasn't not a good one in my opinion. I definately think it might go further w/o Ventura as the messenger.

Ventura is a living example of what my Daddy taught me years ago: If folks want to think your an idiot, let them. Just don't open your mouth and prove it."

+1 to all of the above. I only saw the HAARP episode but that was enough to make me not watch another episode of that show.

But speaking of Big Brother in general, I worked in Washington, D.C. and overseas as a defense contractor for the U.S. government intel community for 6 years, had a TS/SCI clearance, and if the gov't wants to turn it's eyes on you, it's pretty scary.

I myself have some beliefs that some here may consider radical. I try to look at things from a common sense perspective. Far too often, what I see is everyone (not just here but in general) really polarizing the debate about whatever hotly contested topic it may be. On the one side you have people that are rabid that every single thing, including the milkman (do they still have those?! lol), is behind a conspiracy. Then there is the opposite side with people who refuse to believe that anyone including our own government, or rather people inside the government, could ever do anything truly evil or intelligent, and that there is not, has not, and never will be any "conspiracy" behind any situation ever.....and everything is merely a coincidence. What I will say is this. Look at any given situation with logic, examine the facts, and start adding things up. Leave emotion out of the equation if you want to come to a truly level-headed conclusion about a situation. If things don't add up, no one has to jump off the deep end, however it certainly is not crazy to come to the conclusion that there are too many coincidences and too many things don't add up, so there must be more to the story than is available or that we were told. We can all speculate, but it is just that. Unfortunately there are a great deal of answers about a great many situations that we will likely never know the truth of, beyond a shadow of a doubt. What I can tell you is I have done a lot of logical and honest research on a great many different world-changing situations that have occurred over the past century and I will say there is a metric sh*t ton of stuff out there that doesn't add up. At what point are there too many coincidences for everything to still necessarily be a coincidence? ;)

Could never watch anything with Crazy Jesse in it. Just to listen to him talk reminds me of someone who is 5 cans short of a 6-Pak.

Was especially turned off by his remarks on Sarah Palin. He took the liberal rant side. I bet she could out-shoot him, probably shot more wild game than he ever saw.

There won't be a job for him in a Sarah Palin administration.

Before anyone starts running to get a tin hat, there are huge restrictions on collecting against Americans by the US intelligence community. The program is called Intelligence Oversight and is watched over by the HPSCI and SSCI, and all people who work in the IC have to get annual refresher training on it even if you don't work in the collection arena.

I have been in the intel field for over 20 years and most of the paranoia some in the general public have about the IC watching them is pure hogwash. Unless you are involved with some seriously nefarious activities you have nothing to worry about, the US IC has some impressive capabilities but its mission is focused mainly on our enemies abroad. The domestic surveillance role belongs to the FBI...

As for Conspiracy Theory, I saw the HAARP episode and it was laughable. Ventura digs out the biggest kooks they can find and act as if they are some authoritative source. And Ventura himself is a joke, which is a shame as he used to have some credibility. He had a chance to make this an interesting show, but now it is no more believable than Leonard Nimoy's In Search Of...

Inter Interpol, or maybe you could take a stab at why they get these new found powers that completely bypass OUR constitution?

True. A large part of what I did was counternarcotics, which is (or was, in the 1990s) one of the missions of the IC.
