Maybe so, I just thought it interesting that I know someone personally involved in this strange drama.

Right. I wasn't discrediting your knowledge of those people there. I thought it was funny about "Rhonda" because the series had focused on her quite a bit and it seemed that everyone in town had a throw at Rhonda at some time or another.

What the heck? The "cowboy" is actually a bar owner in Marfa, and professional actor who had a part in True Grit! He's also the commentator of the series...

I thought he was a Telingua resident! :(

Yep, he is from Marfa, not Terlingua. He's good at what he does though, and his part in this show will probably help his career.

The reason the show had just a few Terlingua residents and a guy from Marfa, is because the other 50 or so residents were not happy about the show, so they all circled the wagons and refused to participate. That's why you see the same people over and over again (Ronda, Dr. Doug, the tire shop guys, and the hotel owner). Those were the only people who would appear on camera, and they were paid well.

It's also worth noting what you don't see: the Starlight Theater and ghost town. The owner would not let them film it, and they are the main attraction in Terlingua.

By the way, John Holroyd, the new owner of La Kiva, declined to let Original Productions film there.

I heard that after he bought La Kiva, he put a lot of money into fixing it up to get it up to code.
It's supposed to be pretty nice now (apparently the bathrooms were terrible before).

I still can't believe this happened. I am in awe of the stupidity of the jury member that they interviewed.

I wasn't too harsh on him till he got to the part where he admitted that he couldn't understand difference between manslaughter & murder

I finally finished watching it... Yeah, the jury was full of dumbasses and pussies.

On another note; if I ever get in serious trouble, I'll be looking up that slimy defense attorney.
