Let us know how it turns out, Chuck.
Just about anything from Perry's is delicious but if we're specifically talking about steak, the best I've ever had anywhere is the House Marinated Rib-Eye from Bartlett's at 2408 West Anderson Lane. No fooling. I go there two or three times a year just to treat myself to that steak and I've never, ever found a better tasting one. Man, I may just go there again today!
Didn't try the one in Austin. Loansome Dove has a resturant in downtown Austin
Agreed. We ( Mrs. Hoji and I)will be there(ALC) on Monday celebrating our 17th anniversary
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but- when "Austin" and "Steak" are mentioned together in the same breath it should also include the name "Hoffbrau." I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned on the very first page. You really need to go try a steak that swims in butter from the old Hoffbrau Steakhouse, an Austin institution since 1932. At the very least, the reason you really need to try a steak from Hoffbrau is because when somebody says you really need to try a steak from Hoffbrau (and they almost always do) then you can say that you already done did.
I tried Steiner Ranch Steakhouse last week... It was good, but wasn't overly impressed.
The view and the band was very enjoyable; only slightly ruined by all the other patronsPretty good steak, but its the view you pay for.
