I was at my local pawn/gun shop to browse and the guy there that knows me, knows what I like showed me a Savage Model 99 chambered for 30 WCF (30 30). I did NOT have the cash on me so I put a hundred down to hold it. Total out the door will be $450.

I've always wanted a 99 with the rotary magazine. 30 Winchester means that I don't have to load a different cartridge or get another reload die set. I already have a few dozen die sets.
I'll post pic when I get it next week.

Here it is. A little rough but it is a shooter.

First post, thought I'd share my new glock 19 gen 4. Very common gun, but this will be what I rely on for home defense, and perhaps concealed carry once I obtain my CHL. I'm new to firearms, I became a fan after a friend took me to the shooting range a month back.

I'm also receiving a S&W M686+ 6'' Talo Edition revolver early next week. Will post pics once I get it!

Good for you. Pretty hard to beat a G19. You are required to post pictures in the handgun picture thread of the 686 though.

So, I won a GLOCK. I "competed" in a GSSF match earlier this year and won a "random pistol" award. I say "competed" 'cause I felt like warmed over crap that day and just plain sucked.

    Instructions say "basic no-chargefirearm awards are the winner’s choice ofan available GLOCK (pre-Gen 4 model)G17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 42,or 43 firearm equipped with standard fixedpolymer sights." I think I'll go with the G17. ;)

Heavygunner & Utah, Good on both of you. That's a good start.

I guess I should have noted I've got a G19, G23, G30, G42 and G43. I've had a G17, several more G19s, G26, and a couple of G36s in the past as well (won THAT G17 too). I've been a certified GLOCK Armorer but have let that slide.

I've got several 1911's and other flavors, so I'm not only a GLOCK guy. ;)
