Try to get the compass calibrated. Compass issues are probably the most common cause of fly aways.
If it didn't do it the first time you're probably ok, but it's an expensive risk. Should only need to do it one unless you travel a pretty good distance with it.

Ok, saw you mention not finding it in the first flight post and wasn't sure you got it.
And yeah, it's pretty amazing the amount of tech they've crammed in to that little plastic case.

Yeah, I've read of people flying in 25+mph winds but never tried to push mine like that. Usually try to keep it on the ground in winds over 15 or so.

My daughter did the same thing. Hers is a small cheap one but we tracked it down laying in the street after searching every tree on the block.Already a family looking for their "white drone" that flew away today they got as a Christmas present. Wind is stiff here so I bet the kid got too high.
