This afternoon I got the call from my shop that my Savage Stealth had arrived, awesome. Paperwork completed, now waiting for approval. Getting closer.

it was great to finally see it in the flesh, not as heavy as thought, but it is still naked. Now time to compile my shopping list.

Pre-K22...6"...about 80%. Sweet...had this on my 'want" list (at a reasonable price) for years.

Pre-27...3 1/2"...already stripped down for polish and hot blueing. While mechanically nice, it was not...sweet...

damnit, been seeing the P938 everywhere lately. i might need another.

    Sent from my SIG Sauer
i was expecting a heavy trigger on it, cause of everyone saying it's 7.5 to 8.5 pounds. It's no where that for mine. Very light single action only trigger. Hopefully the recoil won't be too bad.

nah, i remember recoil being fine (compared to my XDs or Colt Defender).

I did get a smoothed Skeletonized trigger for mine as well, but never installed it.

Have you had any reliability issues with your p938? I guess the question is, do you trust the little pistol with your life?

only issue was it dented brass for reloading

SIG checked it out and said as long as it fed/chambered, fired and ejected it was G2G

otherwise very reliable. Put loctite on the grip screws ASAP, and practice practice practice.

I had to relearn how to shoot with that pistol

my first outing with it, only 5 yards, i actually thought it was defective

adjusting stance and grip, about 200 rounds later

3rd outing before i sold it

I'm not sure if i mentioned it here, or another thread, but that little pistol taught me how to shoot. I used to shoot weaver stance and was fine as long as i was consistent.

After that first pic (I have 4 more targets, just as bad, or worse), I started from scratch like a new shooter. I feel stupid when I shoot now, but shoot 100x better. I do the whole hunched-over isosceles stance, arms straight out, stopped dropping my head/eyes, and I personally need a bit more finger on the trigger.

No more cool guy "TV-show cop" weaver stance

Long story, yes, very reliable gun.
Grip screws will back out quickly.

put 200+ rounds thru it before you carry.
I practice how I carry, so flush mags only with the extended as back ups

The four I've owned ranged from 6.5 to a smidge under 8#.
Great pistol, fairly manageable with the rubber grips...less so with the Goncalo Alves on the SAS model.

Happy to report, the p938 shot like a dream. Easier to shoot than the bigger s&w shield. I guess the higher price you pay for a quality sig really does matter
