Decided to skip the refinishing and just cover the table. My wife does T-shirts so she has trouble with the slick poly. Couldnt find felt, so I went with cotton T shirt material. $3 at wallyworld which was much cheaper than stain and poly anyway. A bit of spray adhesive and its done. Will be an easy swap when it gets dirty from hoppes #9!

Are you certain you seated those primers fully? I know if you don't get a good "grounding" on that anvil, there's not enough pressure against the explosive to get it to fire off.

Cant say 100% for sure, but Im very conscious of the pressure I put on the press handle with each round. I try to be as consistant as possible. I do know that I wont be using the electronic scale I have anymore. Too inconsistant. My velocity was all over the place and the only thing I chnaged was the scale. After comparing it with my balance beam, it varied up to 1/2 grain going back and forth with the same powder charge!!! Velocities measured up to 175 fps difference with all other factors being identical!

Did a little testing with the 6 creed and Nosler RDF bullets. Some have said they are seating depth sensitive but all depths shot under moa for myself. This was a 4 shot group on a 2" circle at 342 yards with can for reference. Couldn't shoot to 1k well without grass trimming but all accounts say the 280/547 BC is legit.

I would recommend looking into the RCBS hand primer. Squeezing and feeling the seating pressure gives you more resolution on the feedback.

Loaded up 100 rounds of my favorite .44 mag load for IHMSA silhouette match on June 11. Starline brass, Federal LP mag primers, 22 grains Imr-4227 powder, and home cast 240 grain bullet out of RCBS silhouette mold. These come out at 255 grains from wheelweight metal. Dropped straight into water to harden them, and then sized to .430, gas checked and lubed with Lyman Super-Moly. Very accurate loading. These are shot out of my Ruger Super Blackhawk stainless 10.5", with Bomar rear and Bond globe front sight.

What kind off powder will you be using for the 69s? I have varget and cfe223 and have some 69 smks coming in but wondering which powder to try first.

CFE223, I can't find Varget locally, so I have no experience with it.

I hear good things about Varget with the 69s. Guys are able to match FGMM groups with it.

I may have to try some but getting good results with IMR 4064 (because I have it).

Varget is great with 69 and 77gr bullets as is H4895, 8208 and benchmark.
