I grew up on 1911's, mostly Colts. I have a KImber UCDP & a GLOCK 21.

My favorite .45, far and away, is my Taurus Millennium Pro PT145. Same size as a G26, 10+1 .45ACP, completely deburred & rounded, never a malfunction. Only negative is that the cheap "stock" sights are difficult to replace. Four extra mags give 51 rounds total.

I personally like my FNX 45. I am left and it's fully ambidextrous. Shoots well, 15+1 is awesome. But it's a tank, not as heavy as you'd think, but it's pretty big .
