    roadrunner,

    WELL SAID.

imVho, we need to start working much harder to REPEAL every stupid "gun control law" that is currently "on the books" (including the NFA) & assure that NO more such laws are ever passed.

Btw, the ONE thing that "the moron left" cannot stand & makes them melt away (like The Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz) is PUBLIC RIDICULE.
(We Patriots should never miss a chance to make the Leftist Morons LOOK as stupid & empty-headed as most of them are. = 90+% of the leftists know NOTHING about firearms & making them LOOK IGNORANT & STUPID to the general public is NOT difficult.)
Laugh AT them & MOCK them, each/every time that they open their BIG MOUTHS & they will flee in embarrassment every time.
(Just be sure that you only state FACTS. - Leave the phony stats & outright LIES to the moron leftists.)

Note: Having a loose-leaf binder with information on major court precedents is a GOOD thing to have, in case you are challenged for your sources in a panel discussion or other public venue.

Right in this very thread someone said they would if they could afford it or words to that affect.

But what is moronic and silly is your attempt to skew the point. When folks starting saying any and all then that begs the question, where is the line drawn or is there NO line, seems like most on here do not want a line, nothing off limits..'cept we already have a line drawn by the govt, so the argument that any and all becomes mute. You not a dumb guy, just trying to pile on and be an attacker, sorry BOYS..don't play out of your league.

So how about YOU answer the question I continue to ask: Where is the line in the sand, what is "not one more inch"... what is the inch?

Try rational discussion and not personal attacks and name calling or thread derailment...

    Ole Cowboy,

In other words you cannot name anyone, anywhere, who wants a "nuke" & I've caught you "blowing smoke" just as the IDIOTS of "the gun control crowd" do.
(One of the things that I find FUNNY is that, when backed into a corner & faced with their FOOLISHNESS & PHONINESS, the leftists always whine about "personal attacks" and/or "name-calling", rather than simply admitting that they are 100% WRONG & wrong-headed.)

Note: I been a member of any number of panel discussions over the years & anytime that I'm asked what compromises that I'm willing to make on the BoR, my response is always the same: OK. First, tell me which of your RIGHTS as a US citizen are you willing to give up "to get along" with our side?? = That simple question/technique leaves them generally speechless & sputtering in frustration, as compromise to the LEFT means surrendering our NATURAL RIGHTS to make them feel better.
(The Constitution grants citizens NO rights whatever. Instead it simply LISTS some of the rights that long existed before the USA was anything but a wilderness.)

If one can afford a nuke....then they should be allowed to purchase it.

You still don't get it do you? I put it as simple as I could, hoping that you would understand. This will be my last attempt:

"not another inch" means give them NOTHING else!

    .
No your not getting it all. There unencumbered and encumbered. Those are the 2 classes we have PLEASE correct me if I am wrong. There are the class that require paperwork such as FA. And Suppressors which I do not support at all. Lots of folks call them silencers, well they are not that by any means so why not let us have them, ohh that right no one gave an inch which why we cannot buy it with out paper work. Ohh well another no compromise went down.

Then there is the rest which all we need to be is some age, fill out NICS paperwork and in Texas walk out the store with it, try that in NYC, month or more.

Encumbered: The inch was given away one inch at a time since '34.

Unencumbered: WELL depends upon which state and in some cases what town you live in. Then to make it more complex rattling around in Congress are a trash can full of junk, addressing everything from age to bayonet lugs, rd count and color of the weapon.

That said: "not another inch" means give them NOTHING else!" This is a broad, general, cover all bases statement. So the left comes back and says well ok I will give you ALL of your inch except the bayonet lugs. Of course our argument is: Yea but no one has been bayoneted by an AR in over 40+++ years. THey don't care!

Just in case your are wondering I am Jonesing for a AR upper in 5.56 with a bayonet lug, because I have a use for it, hoping for a trade, not ready yet to cough up $500 for just the bayonet lug.

Sorry Roadrunner but you and I are not in charge, and Congress coughs up a bayonet. Next year its the chrome adjustment screw for the butt plate etc etc etc. We are going into our 84th year of compromise.

TRUST ME, I hate the compromise far more than you do...because I am not the one sitting at the table working the deal.

The DEAL" OK here is the deal Schumer, Pelosi and the rest. We keep our hi cap mags and I will give up NO AR will be sold with attached sling swivels and to boot, NO SLINGS.

What do they do? Glad you asked Chuckee, they help make that AR a DEADLY weapon and not only that you can sling it on your shoulder hanging low and hide it under your winter coat. I KNOW you don't want that!

Good deal lets write it up...

If you have been watching the news, then you just learned that the left, along with a SCOTUS says lets give up the 2nd RKBA. You see THEY believe the GOVT will take care of them and that is what they have been taught for YEARS. Just like calling LEO's "First Responders"...REALLY. I was a Deputy Sheriff, rural country and time we got there, the ones that were killed are dead and the others just bled out before we arrived. Where I live, 21-23 min avg time to respond to a 911, when seconds count LEO's are only minutes away.

You don't figure that out until you are sitting there staring at a couple of hopped up armed home robbers raping your wife and daughter...the the RKBA dawn on them.

They have gotten a little more well read since the shoulder thing that goes up.

The thing to do is tell them to go fûck themselves and if they want the 2nd Amendment repealed, call a Constitutional Convention.

If they can do it, do it.

No more of this creeping incrementalism

    Ole Cowboy,

I've been a city marshal in a small town & a deputy in a rural AR county & the USUAL "response time" was OVER a half-hour unless the caller was really lucky.
(The nearest LE office to our family farm in NETX is about 40 minutes away by a winding/rough/"semi-improved" county road.)

On my "BAD night" long ago, when 4 drugged-up thugs wanted to burn our farmhouse with me inside, it took 23 minutes from the time that I called the county dispatch for the 1st deputy to arrive.
(That 23 minutes seemed like 23 days to me.)
Had I not had my kid sister's German Shepard & my old DB "bird gun" at our farm, I seriously doubt that I would be here to write these lines.
("Deputy Jack" L__________ said that the thugs, who were arrested near our farm, were afraid of the dog that they could hear barking & of the shotgun that I finally fired out the kitchen window, so they didn't throw their gasoline bombs.)

    OK folks, gonna ask AGAIN:

Where is the line in the sand, where is the "inch".

Until the gun community comes up with a coherent narrative we are doing nothing but losing battle after battle.

We must stand united on a definable front and at that time we can say NO MORE!

No you cannot take my gun away, No you cannot tax me on its possession , No I will not register it, No you will not limit the shape of my stock, my grip or whether or not it has a bayonet lug, nor the number of rounds in my magazine, No you will not encumber or infringe upon my right(s) as given me by my creator...
None of us get to decide that. It's been decided already by--wait for it--the Constitution.

You have no right to demand any of us "answer the question" that has already been answered by the Constitution. Blow it out your [censored].

350,000,000 guns in private hands in US.
    7 trillion rounds of ammo.
If we were a problem they would know it.

    Hoji,

According to a "big shot" with BATFE, who was interviewed on NPR about 6 weeks ago, there are about 400 MILLION total firearms in civilian hands in the USA. - He also stated that LESS than a HALF of one percent of those firearms are ever used in any unlawful act, including"minor offenses".
(The NPR interviewer was obviously angered by his comments, as she kept trying to get him to say something negative about civilian gun owners/ownership.)

    Lol quad .50...

    Rather have this instead:
    mk191.jpg

And yes this MK19 Grenade Machine Gun is currently legal for normal citizens to own.

I will bet damn near every single American adult breaks more laws getting in their automobile and driving to work every day than crimes that automatic grenade launcher has been involved with in 31 years.
