So they have a drive through now?Lol, at around 9am today. Somebody crashed into the front glass wall of 7/11. Jumped the curb and crashed into the store. Tore the place all to hell.
Ahhh, Killeen in the mornings...
Politics. You know, it's amazing how much is kept out of history classes. It's not until you get into advanced college history classes that you begin to see exactly what lead up to World War II. I am now in this time frame and cannot believe how easy it would have been for France, Britain and the US to wipe out Hitler before he seized control of Poland. I'm baffled.

I had a friend intentionally do that in his 69 Camaro, back in about 77 or 78, except he hit the payphone banks, not the window.
A crazy dude attacked him with a knife, the car was the only weapon he had.
Politics and being gun-shy about being in another massive world war....Politics.
I'm afraid you may be writing volumes.I was going to write my research paper on both Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt. Now, however, I want to research Every time the government turned a blind eye on things that could have been avoided.

Very carefullyHow do you keep it in place with your home on it's side?
I'm one of those folks that thinks there was just one World War with a long pause in the middle. Germany wasn't actually defeated at the end of WWI. The was no military defeat because there was no war on their soil, no mass destruction of their infrastructure, and, thus, no apparent cost to the homeland. Basically, everybody just got tired of it all and signed an agreement to pack up and go home. It's not until you get into advanced college history classes that you begin to see exactly what lead up to World War II.
And I agree with you. It wasn't even a real surrender as it was the Germans miscalculated the Russian forces. But as you said, they were not defeated. They retreated back to Germany when they lost too many soldiers.I'm one of those folks that thinks there was just one World War with a long pause in the middle. The Germans seethed over this for lots of reasons I'm sure you understand. That mood was eventually going to be exploited and new, open hostilities were inevitable.
Anyway, that's the school of thought to which I ascribe.
Let me guess - the DachshundI keep trying to keep the dogs off the couch. I looked to my right, there's a dog on the couch. Ninja style. Never saw him get up there.
That was a lot work for nothing.
