There isn’t much of anything between the NAA mini’s and a J frame S&W size wise.
I carry a NAA in .22mag frequently. Its super small and light.
I found the J frames a tad too large and heavy but my experience is with the all steel guns. The modern alloy frame guns are much lighter.
Ruger now makes the polymer framed revolvers but they seem larger than a J frame.
Any of the calibers you mentioned are good to go for SD purposes.
I carry a S&W 38 special airweight model 637! Perfect carry revolver for me! She packs a whollop for being such a small little thing! I also have a S&W model 686 357 plus! She has a 2" barrel and is a 7 shot beauty! I use it when I open carry which is not often! A little heavy when carrying IWB but for me the peace of mind in regards to reliability and firepower is worth it!
Not a revolver option but there is Bond Arms with their derringers. Kinda a like an AR platform... one lower & you can change the caliber by changing the upper barrel. I'd go with 45LC/410 personally with the Winchester PDX ammo
