Exactly!Frank59,
When more law-abiding people get their LTC & we start shooting/killing many more of the violent criminals, there will be a lot less such people who choose to be lawless predators.
Also when everyone STOPS whining about, making excuses for & "feeling sorry for" the vicious predators who get wounded/killed by persons who are defending their loved ones/themselves, MUCH of this criminal behavior will stop.

V I think I told you I grew up in Portland. When I moved here to Houston in the late 80s I was shocked at the difference between the big city and my little home town that I still love dearly. I knew Houston was a war zone before I came but the realization of the matter was only something you could experience close up to understand the full impact. I decided to get my LTC a few years ago when a restraunt my wife and I eat at a lot (house of pies-Westheimer) was robbed at gunpoint by a street gang. They came in shooting up in the air and ordered everyone to the floor. They panicked and ran out when they saw some customers fleeing out the back door. My wife and I had just eaten their less than two days earlier. I'm not going to trash talk Houston to much because it has afforded me an opportunity to make a good living. However I will be glad when the day comes that I'm looking at her I my rear view mirror!!Following that link...there were several other car jackings in Houston.....
Crap, what is wrong with people?
Personally, I believe it's worth risking my life to eat at the House of Pies....(house of pies-Westheimer) was robbed at gunpoint by a street gang. They came in shooting up in the air...

You are kinda of on to something here. In past events of this nature if one of the bad guys gets lit up the rest of them don't hang around to find out what happens next.Since a lot of robberies and almost all home invasions involve multiple bad guys, I’ve always thought (have no idea if it’s true or not), if just one of the bg can be stopped - either killed or wounded & captured - the cops would have a much easier time in identifying who the other bad actor(s) were. Admittedly, I’m kinda guessing that family, friends or neighbors would tend to know who the dead (or hospitalized) bg hung out with. Since this never makes the news (i.e., follow-up arrests), I was just kinda wondering if there’d be any truth in this line of thinking? Of course, it would probably take a good interrogation and confession on the part of the other bad guy(s).
Any cops reading this can shed any light on this logic/reasoning? Does it help or not?

Here.. I'll do it for ya.... Houston is a Chithole!!! There... I feel better now
My bother-in-law spent a week down there with his air boat rescuing folks... he had some pretty good(bad) stories. They recused a lot of animals too...FireInTheWire,
As sorry as I was about my Darla & her family losing nearly everything that they had (She cried over losing the few photos of her parents more than anything else that she lost.) acquired during HARVEY, I'm relieved that she is OUT of Houston FOREVER.
Btw, our continued thanks to all the members here who sent "best wishes", offers to help & prayed for us to get her, her brother & their uncle safely OUT of the flooded area. (It took us 6 days to rescue/get them to San Antonio.) = All is well now with all 3.
