Bashed the passenger side view mirror and cracked the surrounding frame. Trying to decide whether to replace with same style or go with a different style. These are heated power mirrors and not sure what will be compatible with that.

Would love for power telescoping and folding row mirrors, but don’t think it’s possible.

Since the panel will be off, I’ll go ahead and install jimmi jammers. Probably add a console vault later this year.

To many thieves target the F-series as it’s simple to break into. The jimmi jammers are metal plates installed between the door handle and the lock actuation rod, solving that problem.

The console vault will just be another layer of protection for those time I’ve got to go inside the post office and need a place to safely store the gun.

    .

I have the power tele/fold mirrors on my ford towpig. They are the greatest trailer mirrors ever.

But, they are almost a grand a side. I don’t know about the half ton but the three quarter tons ... bring money...

1a is probably the best aftermarket brand for mirrors. Still need to run wiring and a switch for the power fold. You can probably find the switch on ebay for an OEM look.

Not sure about the F150, but googling will find lots of people who have done it.

You can try eBay for OEM mirrors, but they're either very expensive, or the auctions garner a ton of bids and get... expensive.

I went to WeirdMart today to buy a tire. Used to go to the counter to buy tires. NOPE , guy meets you in the parking lot with some cell phone looking thingy and punches in all the information. Then hands you a POS with a screen the size of my SmartassPhone, and says :" Sign here."

OK....In the olden days, when you went to the counter, there was honest to Alah paperwork that you could LOOK at before signing!!! Here, you got a damn screen you can't read, and the ONLY thing on it..... is legal BS protecting their ass.

So, I go shopping and grab $65 worth of crap....come back , and my trucks in the bay, as are 3 other cars, but I don't see anything moving . For a minute , I think I'm at Home Depot, where the employee of the month is the guy that dodges the most customers while wearing bright orange.

Soooo....I got some of those anti- sanity lug nuts and I put the key on the dash, I asked who would be swapping tires, guy said me...or this guy...>. OK... key is on dash, please put it back there when done.

Anyway , I see this Hispanic dude opening the passenger door, and looking all over my whole damn truck, like he's casing the joint , so I go out to see what the hell is going on. He's squatted down by my driver's side rear tire with the spinner off, my key, another impact socket and an impact.

I say: " What in the hell are you doing?" "I'm doing what the work order says." Yeah, but the damn tire goes on the PASSENGER side. Quick version , he gets an attitude, and says I shouldn't talk to him that way. I said , hey, I'm not saying it's your fault, but , honestly , say this was your truck, and I was doing what you are, what would you say? He said:"Same thing you did."

What if I hadn't gone out there? I'd STILL have the tire I wanted to replace on the truck, the tire I wanted to keep unmounted, and the new tire in the wrong place.

Well, BESIDES THAT ....took a mother frigging HOUR to get one Fing tire, (and it wasn't very busy.)....Ima throw a tire through a Walmart window!!!!

I’m just curious if I can easily use the OEM switch with the 1A mirror; My stock mirrors are power heated with turn signal. Just don’t have the fold option.

I’ll have to dig the F150 forums a little deeper.

if you can't find the info for F150, then use the f250 forums as a rough guide. Process is the same, wiring harnesses/colors likely different.

for sure you'll need a relay, and a wire to each door. You may need new pigtail/harness as well, I'm not sure.

if you can't find the wiring info I can pull a color-coded wiring diagram for you.

    ETA:
Here's the link I plan to use when I do mine. Process is the same, but connectors and all that crap will likely be different.
The cool thing is this guy sourced the connectors and pins off an aftermarket website that still exists last I checked.

Finally got around to editing the video from the track day a couple weeks ago. My cameras messed up and I lost some of my best laps, so I just had a little fun with the editing...

Looks like you had a great time. That dude definitely looked like he had no clue anyone else was on the track when you were passing him on the left.

technically my fault as I was the one passing, but... yeah...
Good thing it didn't upset the car when I dropped the left side wheels off the track.
