According to the Texas DPS Handgun Licensing and what they require to be taught it is. So yeah, there's always that.....Shouldn't be, as it has nothing to do with LTC.

Then be shocked and do your own research. It's real easy to find.Link?
Cause carry unrelated to CHL/LTC was not required when I was an instructor, and no instructor I have ever taken class from covered carry unrelated to CHL/LTC.
I would be shocked if a LTC instructor had to teach MPA law.

Do you have a password for the DPS website? If not the link to the official page does you no good; but then you already knew that.So no link to support your claim LTC must teach MPA law, even though it is "easy to find".

No need to stress. Just be a good shot, and carry some liability insurance.

I've been carrying since I turned 21. I'm 39 now. Soon it will be over half my life.
The first time I carried I did it in the small of my back. I think I thought it would be less noticeable. Then I drove my truck and went shopping at HEB. Driving that way sucks. Bending over at the store was unnerving cause I was afraid the gun would show.
Now I carry at about the 3 o'clock position IWB (inside the waistband) & I don't notice it at all.
What type of gun did you buy?
ETA: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
You are correctNo, you are wrong. He can carry his handgun concealed in his vehicle without a license.
I did all that crapola before they changed the law, and simply required finger prints/picture/address and money, simply because I wanted to have no nexus to the Government. I paid my 150.00 (Free for FLEOS and LEOS), shot the painfully easy course of fire, and then got mine. Perhaps that is why mine still says "CHL" and not "LTC". I do know one thing, before 2020, I need to get on the website, verify I have not moved and pay my money so they can mail me a new one.
About six months before your birthday(expiration date) you will receive a letter stating you renewal date is approaching. You can also renew on line. My 4th or 5th renewal(whichever it was) online was back in 7 days.I did all that crapola before they changed the law, and simply required finger prints/picture/address and money, simply because I wanted to have no nexus to the Government.
